Riverview Community Water System Completes Harris Road Rehabilitation Project
The Riverview Community Water System (RCWS) has completed phase two of its two phase Harris Road rehabilitation project. The project, which began in 2010, consisted of replacing system infrastructure on Harris Road between Munn Road and Sutton Road (phase one), and along Harris Road Extension ending at the Riverview Fire Department (phase two).
The replaced infrastructure was installed in the late 1960’s and had exceeded its operational integrity. In addition to replacing water lines, RCWS also replaced fire hydrants, and added one beside the River Fire Department. The new hydrant will benefit the Riverview community by providing an adequate water supply directly to the Fire Department. In the past fire department personnel had to drive fire trucks off-site to fill.
RCWS is dedicated to maintaining an efficient system, providing customers with a dependable, cost effective, clean water supply.
